Al Mellina

Al Mellina is a strategic advisor and board member at DataScava. Al has also served as a partner at KPMG Consulting, co-founder and CEO/Vice Chairman of the Gartland and Mellina Group, and chapter president of UNICO Islip/Smithtown. Prior to their work in consulting, Mellina was a sales and operations executive at Grumman Aircraft, Four Phase Systems, and CP Technology.

Mellina began their career as a systems engineer at Grumman Aircraft during the Apollo Project. Al then went on to become sales/branch manager at Four Phase Systems before becoming VP of operations at CP Technology. In 1997, Mellina left the corporate world to start their own management consulting company.

In 2007, Mellina became involved with UNICO, an Italian-American service organization. Al served as chapter president for two years before being elected to the board of directors for UNICO National in 2009. Mellina has been a strategic advisor and board member at DataScava since 2019.

Al Mellina completed a BS in Physics from Iona University and an MBA in Marketing from the same school.
