Joanne Rodriguez, LEED AP, FitWel Amb, CDT has over 30 years of experience in the construction and building industry. Joanne began their career in 1987 as an Estimator and Project Manager for Thomarios Painting Company. In 1992, they moved on to become a Sales Representative for Werden Buck. In 1996, they became an Architectural Representative for Harris Specialty Chemicals. In 2001, they joined Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance as the Regional Manager and Building Envelope Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for the growth of sales and development of personnel. In 2019, they became involved with the Latinx IHCC+1871 Incubator, the Cleantech Open National Accelerator, and the Illinois Joanne'spanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2021, they joined the Creative Destruction Lab as the CDL/University of Wisconsin+Risk Stream, and the Bipartisan Policy Center as the American Energy Innovators Network. Additionally, they are the Founder/CEO of Mycocycle, Inc., a bioremediation process using fungi to remove harmful toxins from trash.

Joanne Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Capital University and has attended The University of Akron. Joanne also holds an OSHA 10 hour certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, obtained in March 2012. Additionally, they are a LEED Accredited Professional from the United States Green Building Council, obtained in September 2002, and a Construction Documents Technologist from the Construction Specifications Institute, obtained in July 1995. Joanne is also certified in Climate Change Communications from Cornell University and Permaculture Design from Oregon State University.
