Sanela Omerovic is a postdoctoral researcher at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) since April 2022, focusing on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and crisis events on the Austrian real estate market as part of the LocHouse project. Concurrently, Sanela serves as a part-time lecturer at Technische Universität Graz, teaching the "Actuarial Modelling" course and has previously worked at the same institution as a postdoctoral researcher for six months in financial mathematics and statistics. From 2017 to 2022, Sanela lectured at FH Joanneum Graz on topics such as "Insurance Business Management" and "Econometrics and Financial Market Analysis." Prior experience includes working at FMA Finanzmarktaufsicht Österreich from April 2016 to October 2021, focusing on on-site inspections and financial and actuarial analysis of insurance companies. Sanela's academic background includes a doctoral degree in Technical Mathematics and both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from Technische Universität Graz.
