James Watkinson

James Watkinson's work experience includes roles at Datasparq and Jaguar Land Rover. At Datasparq, they served as the Director of Engineering, Head of Engineering, and Senior Consultant. In these roles, they developed deployable serverless data platforms, presented complex cloud technology to clients, delivered multiple production-grade data platforms, and converted AI predictive models into managed services. James also created and led technical training programs and interviewed potential talent. At Jaguar Land Rover, they worked as a Data Engineer, Telematics Engineer, and Graduate Engineer. In these positions, they developed analytics strategies, replicated business application logic at scale, assessed vehicle connectivity, and launched WiFi Hotspot across vehicle range.

James Watkinson pursued their education from 2009 to 2013 at Aston University, where they completed a degree in Design Engineering with a focus on Engineering. In 2021, they also obtained a Professional Data Engineer certification from Google.
