Bryan Kirschner has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Bryan is currently the Vice President Strategy at DataStax since January 2020. Before joining DataStax, Bryan served as the Director at Autodesk from March 2019 to January 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Contributor at CIO.com from September 2015 to January 2020, where they provided insights and guidance to CIOs and change agents in large enterprises. Bryan also worked at Google as the Research & Strategy Lead from January 2017 to March 2019 and as a part of the APIs at Google team from November 2016 to January 2017. Bryan was responsible for helping organizations leverage the power of APIs and driving innovation. From February 2013 to November 2016, Bryan held the role of Director, Apigee Institute at Apigee, where they focused on digital transformation thought leadership and equipping leaders with the necessary knowledge to succeed. In 2012, Bryan took a sabbatical to pursue their passion for music and family. Prior to that, they were the Vice President for Corporate Strategies at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner from April 2009 to July 2012, where they applied political research and consulting techniques to corporate challenges. Furthermore, Bryan worked at Microsoft for 10 years starting in August 1999, where they became the first person with the title Director of Open Source Strategy. In this role, they played a crucial role in shifting the company's approach towards open-source software.

Bryan Kirschner completed their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Yale University, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. During their time at Yale, they obtained a B.A. in Philosophy.
