Dean Lackey

Dean Lackey has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dean began their career at Capital One in 1997 as a Development Associate, where they worked on development improvement projects and managed automated dialer operations. In 1999, they joined Technology Plus Corporation as a Senior Consultant, responsible for Unix administration support. From 2001 to 2005, they worked at Keane Federal Systems as a Senior Principal Consultant, providing Oracle DBA support and mentoring junior DBAs. Dean then joined Eiden Systems Corporation as a Senior Consultant, where they performed routine DBA activities and acted as an Oracle infrastructure architect.

In 2006, Dean joined The Capital Group Companies as a Senior Consultant for the Sapphire division. Dean researched, evaluated, and deployed database technology, led work groups and technology teams, and presented technology briefings. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at University Health System as a Unix and Database Administrator, overseeing various platforms and playing a crucial role in proposing and implementing system scheduling platform and database improvements.

Dean also co-founded SATOUG, an Oracle User Group, in 2011. Dean served as the President and managed membership, presentations, and affiliation with other user groups until 2018. In the same year, they joined Sapphire Technologies as a Senior Consultant, and later moved to Capital Group in 2011 as a Senior Information Technology Engineer IV.

Most recently, Dean joined DataStax in 2023 as a Technology Engineer. Dean'swork experience demonstrates their expertise in technology engineering, database administration, project management, and team leadership.

Dean Lackey has a diverse education history. In 2017 to 2018, Dean pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting at Fitchburg State University. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016, Dean completed a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration at Charter Oak State College. Additionally, Dean holds an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree in computer information systems from Otero Junior College, although the start and end years for this degree are not specified.

In terms of certifications, Dean Lackey has obtained various credentials.
