Steven Lacerda has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to the present. Steven began their career as a Technical Support Engineer at BlueArc Corporation, troubleshooting network connections and gaining knowledge in TCP/IP protocols. Steven then moved on to become the Manager of Global Technical Support at BlueArc Corporation, where they managed the technical support department. In 2014, Steven joined Turn2U as a Web Developer, designing and building websites based on customer specifications. Steven then worked at N3N as a Software Engineer, creating user-friendly front-end applications and specializing in data visualization. Currently, Steven is working at DataStax as a Technical Support Engineer, troubleshooting enterprise class systems surrounding DataStax products. Throughout their career, Steven has developed a strong skillset in areas such as troubleshooting, web development, and data visualization.

Steven Lacerda holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from UCSB. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in Kubernetes administration, including a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from Linux Academy, which they obtained in July 2021, and the Kubernetes Essentials certification, which they obtained in September 2020, also from Linux Academy.
