Emily Stutzman has a long and varied work experience. Emily began their career in 2001 as a Reporter for the Albany Democrat Herald. In 2002, they became a Sales Manager for Whims Watercolor Quilts, where they traveled to trade shows all over the U.S. and managed a team of sales reps. In 2003, they were a News Reporter for the Corvallis Gazette Times and in 2005 they were an Intern for Senator Gordon Smith. In 2009, they became a Project Manager/Marketing Strategist for Blurae and in 2010 they Co-Founded FAB PDX, a custom design and fabrication company. In 2012, they were a Project Manager/Account Manager for EYELEVEL, managing global retail design and implementation. From 2013 to 2018, they worked for Happylucky, beginning as Chief Executive Officer and eventually becoming Executive Business Director, Business Director and Account Director. In 2018, they Co-Founded Date with Reco, a mobile application that helps Daters find better matches by allowing their friends (Agents) to take the reins and set them up with people in their existing networks.

Emily Stutzman began their educational journey at Eastern Mennonite University, although no dates or degree information is provided. Emily then attended Hesston College from 2003 to 2005, before transferring to Goshen College where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business in 2007.
