Chris Petesch

Chris is an Audit Principal at DOZ and has been in the practice of public accounting since he joined the firm in 2008, where he has developed his knowledge and specialization in the real estate industry.

Chris has obtained valuable experience in the affordable housing arena by providing audit and financial reporting services for lower-tier entities that utilize LIHTC pursuant to Section 42 of the IRC, HUD financing and/or rental assistance, financing from various state agencies, and RD programs. Chris has also been heavily involved in reviewing and preparing audits of Not-for-Profit entities, commercial properties, and other various types of housing properties. These audits have been prepared for OMB, HUD, RD, and various debt and equity providers. Chris is very experienced with financial and compliance audits conducted under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Uniform Guidance, and Government Auditing Standards. Chris also serves as part of DOZ’s real estate consulting practice where he completes Sponsor Reviews of Tax Credit Syndicators, conducts fund due diligence for lower-tier property investments, and performs disposition analysis for properties with varying criteria.
