Kirk Brunson

Kirk Brunson is a Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, leveraging technologies such as Python, Snowflake, and DBT. At Dave since October 2021, Kirk has developed and maintained over 30 ETL and ELT pipelines for various business units, achieving significant runtime and cost reductions. Prior experience at Capital One included designing an innovative OLAP approach that drastically improved data ingestion and query performance, along with contributions to a related patent. Kirk also has experience in software engineering, having prototyped AutoML services at BHE, and has a background as a professional musician and educator. Kirk holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Thomas Edison State University.
