David Bervig

David Bervig has a strong background in human resources and leadership roles. David is currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer at David C Cook, where they have been since 2010. In this role, David oversees global human resources and corporate communications, develops and implements strategic HR initiatives, and builds relationships at all levels of the organization.

Prior to this, David held various positions in HR and management. David was the Head Football Coach at The Classical Academy from 2012 to 2017, leading the program to significant success. David also served as the Director of Employee Benefits at Young Life, where they implemented changes to the medical plan resulting in a surplus and managed pension and retirement plans.

Earlier in their career, David worked at Coast Independent Review Board as the VP of HR and Business Management, where they created employee records systems and implemented recruitment and training strategies. David also worked at Focus on the Family, holding positions such as Director of Community Impact Outreach, Director of HR and Volunteers, Manager of Employment, and Staffing Specialist.

David began their career as a Merchandise Manager at JCPenney, where they developed business plans, purchased merchandise, and managed a team.
