Simon Wiesmaier

Simon Wiesmaier is an Associate at David Chipperfield Architects, specializing in Digital Strategy and BIM since July 2012. Wiesmaier's contributions include the implementation and coordination of Building Information Modeling across projects, as well as involvement in the BIM-Allianz as a founding member and board representative. Prior roles at David Chipperfield Architects include Head of Visualisation, where leadership of an in-house visualization team was established, and Architect, focusing on competition projects and visualization. Earlier experience includes positions at Foster + Partners, where Wiesmaier worked on the execution planning for the Lenbachhaus renovation in Munich and design planning for the 601 Fourth Avenue project in Seattle, alongside an architectural role at LIN Architects for the Cité du Design in Saint-Étienne, France. Wiesmaier holds a Diplom degree in Architecture from Technische Universität Berlin.
