Alec McKenzie

Alec McKenzie has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alec is currently serving as the Chief Revenue Officer at David Phillips since June 2020. Alec also holds the position of an Advisory Board Member at ProtectED, a UK higher education accreditation scheme focused on student safety and wellbeing, starting from January 2015. Prior to this, Alec worked as the Group Sales Director at LOFT.uk from April 2017 to May 2020. Alec also served in the British Army as a Squadron Leader - Army Reserve from June 2006 to November 2019. In addition, Alec has management and leadership experience at Endsleigh Insurance Services Ltd, where they held roles such as Sector Manager, Regional Manager, Senior Key Account Manager, and Business Development Manager between September 2006 and April 2017. Before that, Alec served as Deputy President - Commercial Services and Finance at Undeb Bangor (Bangor Students' Union) from July 2004 to August 2005.

Alec McKenzie began their education journey in 2002 when they enrolled at Bangor University. Alec studied Business & Marketing and completed their degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services in 2006. Following this, in 2007, Alec attended The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where they obtained a British Army Commission, focusing on Military and Strategic Leadership.

In addition to their formal education, Alec pursued various certifications throughout their career. In 2010, they obtained the Level 3 Certificate in Insurance CII from the Chartered Insurance Institute. In 2013, they received the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). Later, in 2016, Alec acquired the Level 3 Award in Education and Training from the Defence Academy of the UK. Most recently, in 2018, they obtained the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute.

Furthermore, Alec possesses the HS&E certification from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Limited, although the specific month of obtaining the certification is unknown.
