Shelly Gottfried has had diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Shelly started their career as a Visiting Lecturer at Tel Aviv University in 2017. Shelly then worked as a Lecturer at Beit Berl College from 2014 to 2019. In 2015, Shelly co-founded and served as the Director of the Social-Economic Impact - Accelerator and Hub until 2018. Shelly also worked as the Head of Predictive Analytics at Sparks AB from 2018 to 2020. Shelly's experience in data analytics continued at Promo.com, where they served as the Head of Data & Analytics from 2021 to 2022. Shelly then joined Pagaya as the Head of Analytics Operations from March 2022 to September 2022, and later as the Director of Risk Analytics from September 2022 to April 2023. In 2012, Shelly worked as a Research Fellow at CITYPERC; City Political Economy Research Centre, University of London. Shelly then became a Senior Research Fellow in Impact Investments at the Samuel Neaman Institute from August 2020 onwards. Shelly's most recent role is as the Chief Data Officer at DavidShield - PassportCard since July 2023. Shelly was also a member of the 1st cohort at Epsilon ε from April 2023 to July 2023.

Shelly Gottfried completed their education in a chronological manner. Shelly started in 2000 by earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy from Tel Aviv University, which they completed in 2003. Shelly then pursued a Master's degree in Philosophy from the same university, completing it in 2004. Following that, from 2004 to 2006, they studied at Sapienza Università di Roma and obtained a Master's degree in EU Political Economy. Shelly further expanded their academic profile by pursuing a PhD in International Political Economy at City, University of London, from 2010 to 2015.
