Dan Drayer

Dan Drayer is an accomplished fundraising professional with extensive experience in major gift solicitation and donor engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Major Gifts Officer at Davidson College since January 2016, Dan manages a portfolio of 150 major and principal gift prospects, focusing on securing gifts of $50,000 and above. Dan previously held the position of Major Gifts Officer at Davidson, where responsibilities included cultivating individual donor prospects for capital and endowment projects. Prior to this, Dan worked as Communications Director for the Colorado Department of Human Services, overseeing internal and external communications for a large state agency. Dan has a background in media, having served as Director of Communications for the IAALS, Newscast Anchor/Producer at National Public Radio, and Host/Executive Producer for Colorado Matters at Colorado Public Radio. Dan's career began in public radio, where various roles included Host, Correspondent, and Producer across different stations. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, cum laude, from Wake Forest University.
