Tim is the executive director of KIPP North Carolina, a network of charter schools rigorously preparing students from vulnerable and marginalized communities for college, career, and beyond. Previously he was the chief operating officer of the Relay Graduate School of Education and the founding co-director of operations for the Excellence Boys Charter School with Uncommon Schools in New York City. A political science major at Davidson, Tim served as the president of the senior class, was active in the SGA, was a member of the Student Conduct Council and the Review Board, studied in Italy, and was a senior admission fellow. Following graduation, he worked as an admission counselor for Davidson. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University. Tim has served Davidson as a member of his 5th, 15th, and 25th reunion committees, co-chair of his 20th reunion committee, and member of the Board of Visitors, the Davidson LGBTQ+ Alumni Network, and the Alumni Association Board. He was also a member of the Commission on Race and Slavery and is a Pahara-Aspen Institute education fellow.
