Richard Ahrens

Richard Ahrens has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades in various roles within the technology sector. Richard is currently working as the Head of Investment Management Technology at Davidson Kempner Capital Management since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Engineering at Coinbase from January 2022 to February 2023. Richard also held the position of SVP, Chief Information Officer at State Street from December 2019 to January 2022. Before that, they worked at Deutsche Bank, where they held the role of Managing Director, CIO of Data and Architecture for Corporate & Investment Bank from July 2018 to December 2019, and as Managing Director, CIO of Global Markets Equities and Global Coverage Technology from May 2013 to July 2018. Richard's other notable experiences include working as a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Director at Barclays Capital, and Vice President at Lehman Brothers. Richard started their career as a Development Manager at Avesta Technologies, Inc. in 1997.

Richard Ahrens attended The Wharton School from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a BSE degree in Information Systems. In addition to their degree, Richard also obtained a Series 99 certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in October 2016.
