James Looney has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. James started their career as a HelpDesk Consultant at Tennessee Technological University in 2000, where they provided hardware and software support to students and faculty. From there, they became a ResNet Coordinator, where they coordinated the efforts of 10 student workers and performed troubleshooting for LAN-related issues.

In 2001, James joined HealthStream as a CQA Team Lead / Quality Assurance Analyst. James was responsible for converting project requirements into test plans, executing various types of tests, and organizing project test schedules.

In 2002, James joined Acuity Marketing Communications as a Sr. Web Developer. James designed and developed web-based applications using PHP, Perl, JavaScript, and MySQL. James also created a custom Contest Management System for National History Day.

In 2013, James moved to Ijenti, Inc. (formerly Acuity Marketing) as a Sr. Web Developer and later became the VP of Technology. In this role, they played a key role in web development projects.

James's most recent work experience was as a Software Engineering Manager at DaVinci Education. Here, they utilized their skills in enterprise web application programming using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. James also created a mobile interface for students and assisted in developing testing methodologies.

Throughout their career, James has gained expertise in web development, programming, quality assurance, and team management.

James Looney received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tennessee Technological University, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. James then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, attending from 2003 to 2005.
