Jan Ellens

Jan Ellens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education and human resources. Currently serving as a Human Resources Specialist at DAVIS since September 2021, Jan also contributes as an ESL volunteer at Western Michigan University, assisting international graduate students with English conversation and writing since September 2005. Previous experience includes teaching English as a Second Language to high school students in China from 2007 to 2008 and training Chinese teachers during summer sessions between 1992 and 2011. Jan's long tenure with Kalamazoo Christian School Association from 1963 to 2002 involved middle and high school teaching, grant writing, and curriculum development. Additional roles included teaching at Vandeikya Government Teachers College and working as a librarian at Kalamazoo Public Library. Jan holds a Master's degree in Library Science from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Calvin University.
