Leo Spaeder has a diverse work experience. Leo started their career in 2007 with the United States Marine Corps, where they held various roles such as Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, Motor Transport Officer, and Asst Logistics Plans Officer. Leo also served as an Officer-in-Charge, Logistics Advisor, Company Commander, and Battalion Operations Officer. From 2014 to 2018, Leo worked as a MAGTF Planner and later became a Student in the Marine Corps. In 2021, they were appointed Deputy Operations Officer.
