Matthew Bowman

Adjunct Instructor at Davis Defense Group

Matthew Bowman has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and communications. Matthew began their career as a Marine in 2006 and served in various roles, including Communications Officer, Future Operations Officer, and Bravo Company Commanding Officer. Matthew also worked as a Communications Advisor for the 215 Corps Afghan National Army and the 31st Georgian Battalion. Bowman served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the United States Marine Corps and was responsible for overseeing network architecture design and providing IT support for a large organization. Matthew also served as a Senior Information Technology System Administrator for the 2nd Marine Division, where they led teams in troubleshooting network connections and installing satellite terminals. Bowman joined Davis Defense Group, Inc. in 2018 as an Adjunct Instructor and later pursued a Master's degree as a Graduate Student at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2018 to 2020.

Matthew Bowman completed their Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in History from the United States Naval Academy from 2002 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Matthew obtained their PM-ProLearn PMP Trained certification from PM-ProLearn in January 2023. Matthew also holds a CISSP certification from ISC2, which they obtained in April 2013. In addition, Matthew obtained a Sec+ certification in November 2011 and an ITIL v3 certification in October 2011. The institutions for the Sec+ and ITIL v3 certifications are not provided.
