Christopher Lyon has extensive experience in sustainability and environmental health and safety, currently serving as the Director of Sustainability & EHS at Davis Furniture since February 2020. In this role, Christopher manages sustainability and product certification programs across nine North Carolina facilities, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory sustainability KPIs. Previously, Christopher held the position of Sustainability Manager at Carolina Container from January 2000 to December 2019, where a sustainable business strategy was developed and implemented, leading to significant savings in energy and operational costs. Christopher also served as Quality Manager and Corporate ISO Management Representative, achieving the company’s first ISO 9001 certification. Earlier in the career, Christopher was an IBM Higher Education Account Representative at MarketSource Inc., focusing on sales and support for college accounts. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Mississippi College School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
