Paul Akins

Paul Akins has worked in the fire protection industry for over 30 years. Paul began their career in 1986 as an Electronics Technician in the US Army. In 1998, they became Operations Manager at AFA Protective Systems, Inc. Paul then moved to Arco Protection Systems in 2004, where they worked as a Project Manager. In 2013, they joined PyroSignal & Suppression as a Fire Protection Specialist. In 2014, they became Department Manager, Fire Alarm & Special Hazards at S & S Fire Suppression Systems, Inc. Paul was then promoted to Branch Manager at S & S Fire Suppression Systems in 2016. In 2019, they moved to W & M Fire Protection Services as Regional Fire Alarm / Special Hazards Manager. Most recently, they are working as Technical Talent Development Lead at Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Co.

Paul Akins attended Fayetteville State University from 1992 to 1994, studying Engineering. In 2004, they obtained a Fire Alarm Systems - Level IV certification from NICET. In 2016, they obtained a Special Hazards Systems Level IV certification from NICET.
