James O. Hearty

James Hearty is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and litigation. Since February 2012, James has served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President at DaVita Inc., having previously held the role of Vice President and Associate General Counsel from 2012 to 2015. Prior to their tenure at DaVita, James worked at the U.S. Department of Justice for nearly a decade, first as a Trial Attorney in various divisions from 1998 to 2002, then as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, where James was Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division from 2010 to 2012. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University.
