Filippo Pozzi has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Filippo currently works at Dawn Aerospace as a Spacecraft Propulsion Design Engineer, where they are responsible for designing and analyzing satellite propulsion systems and components. Filippo also supports manufacturing, integration, and test activities of satellite propulsion systems. Prior to this, Filippo worked at KTH Space Center as a Mechanical Team Teaching Assistant and Mechanical Team Member for MIST - The MIniature Student saTellite Company. In these roles, they supervised the development of the mission and was responsible for mechanical integration and testing of a Cube-sat with multiple experiments onboard. Filippo also founded EUROAVIA Stockholm, an affiliate society of EUROAVIA, with the goal of empowering the aerospace student network in Europe. Filippo also gained experience as a Master Thesis Student at OHB Sweden AB, where they worked in the Propulsion Department and focused on the development of a pressure regulator for gas applications.
Filippo Pozzi's education history begins in 2011 when they enrolled in the Aeronautical Technical Institute F. Baracca, where they pursued a Diploma in Logistics and Transport - Aircraft. Filippo completed this program in 2016.
Following their diploma, from 2016 to 2019, Filippo attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.
Filippo then continued their education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2021, where they pursued a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in the Space Track.
In terms of additional certifications, Filippo completed the Ladybird Guide to Spacecraft Operations Training Course at the European Space Agency in September 2020. Additionally, they obtained an IELTS C1 certification from Cambridge Assessment in 2019. In 2017, Filippo acquired an Ultralight license for a single-engine aircraft (VDS) from Aeroclub d'Italia. Filippo also obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 2015. Filippo is a member of Euroavia Forlì-Bologna, the European Association of Aerospace Students, since 2019.
