Spencer Bird

Spencer Bird has diverse work experience in various industries. Spencer currently works as a Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer at Dawn Aerospace since May 2022. Prior to this, they were a Product Development Engineer at Enztec from February 2021 to May 2022. During their time at Enztec, they also served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern from November 2020 to February 2021.

Spencer's previous experience includes working as a Technical Director and Powertrain Engineer at UCM - University of Canterbury Motorsport from November 2019 to November 2020. In this role, they were responsible for designing and manufacturing a modular pedal assembly for the UCM19 vehicle. Spencer utilized Solidworks for design and outsourcing, as well as performed physical manufacturing tasks like milling, turning, and welding.

Before their time at UCM, Spencer worked as a Construction Laborer at Vaughan Morrison Construction from January 2014 to July 2019. Spencer also gained experience as a Summer Intern at Xtreme Race Components in January 2019, where they expanded their knowledge of engineering in a practical setting.

Spencer's earlier roles include being a Laborer at Justin Mckenzie Drainlaying from September 2016 to June 2017, a General Laborer at Enterprise Recruitment & People from August 2016 to October 2016, and a Dishwasher at Pineacres Restaurant & Bar from October 2014 to November 2015.

Spencer 'sfirst work experience was as a Laborer at JBFX LTD from June 2010 to June 2011.

Spencer Bird pursued their education from 2016 to 2020 at the University of Canterbury, where they completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honours. Spencer 'sprimary field of study was Engineering.
