Stuart Davis BEng(Hons) MRAeS

Stuart Davis has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Stuart currently works as a Project Manager at Dawn Aerospace since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SATLANTIS from November 2018 to September 2022, where they held the position of Senior Space Engineer and Technical Project Manager. At SATLANTIS, they were responsible for managing various projects related to Earth observation satellites and had the role of a member of the Management Steering Committee.

Before joining SATLANTIS, Stuart worked at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) from March 2016 to November 2018. Stuart held the roles of Senior Mechanical Engineer and MGSE Team Leader at SSTL. In these positions, they were involved in technical liaison and negotiations with launch providers and national governments' agencies. Stuart also played a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, producing detailed schematics, and preparing technical proposals.

Stuart's career in the aerospace industry started at SSTL as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in July 2012, where they worked on various projects including Tropomi, DMC-3, and Formosat-7. In these positions, they provided support for the assembly, integration, and testing of high-performance optics, as well as the design and development of structural and optical-mechanical elements.

Before transitioning to the aerospace industry, Stuart worked as a Technician at McLaren Automotive Ltd from June 2004 to September 2009.

Stuart Davis has a strong educational background in the field of engineering and aerospace technology. Stuart completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aerospace, Astronautics & Space Technology from Kingston University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, where they studied from 2000 to 2002.
