Ian Rosenberger has a diverse work experience that spans across various organizations and sectors. Ian is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Day Owl, a company that focuses on creating sustainable accessories and operates a resale marketplace. Additionally, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at The First Mile, where they assist global brands in implementing emissions and waste reduction strategies. Ian Rosenberger is also the Founder and Board Chair of WORK, an organization that helps individuals living in low-income communities find dignified employment. Furthermore, they have been an Unreasonable Impact Fellow at Unreasonable, a platform that supports impactful growth-stage companies. Ian Rosenberger has served on the Ocean Plastics Leadership Network Steering Committee for the United Nations Global Treaty on Plastic. Ian also had significant involvement with the Clinton Global Initiative, where they developed partnerships for disaster recovery and sustainability efforts. As the founder and CEO of Thread International, they have focused on creating responsible supply chains using recycled waste materials. Ian Rosenberger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Social Sciences, focusing on Race and Ethnic Relations from Penn State University. Ian is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Liberal Arts, specializing in Sustainability Studies at Harvard University, with an expected completion in 2024. In 2022, they served as a guest lecturer at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, teaching Business Administration and Management. Similarly, in 2016, they were a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, focusing on Sustainability and Business. Additionally, in 2014, Ian served as a guest lecturer in Sustainability and Business at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. In 2020, they also acted as a guest lecturer in the Sustainability Masters Program at Bard College.
