Scott McWherter

Director of Facilities at Daybreak Games

Scott McWherter is the Director of Facilities at Daybreak Games. Scott has over 20 years of experience in facilities and real estate administration, having previously worked for Sony Online Entertainment (now Daybreak Game Company LLC) for over 20 years. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of company facilities and properties. Scott also develops budgets and long-range facilities plans based on company growth and future needs, and oversees the functioning of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, datacenters, and waste management. In addition, they monitor budgets and approves contracts, and oversees contractors involved in facility projects and delivery of services.

Prior to their current role, Scott served as Senior Manager of Facilities, Administration and Real Estate for Sony Online Entertainment for 13 years. In this role, they were responsible for creating functional strategies and specific objectives for the departmental sub-function they managed, as well as developing budgets/policies/procedures to support the departmental function. Scott also gained deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and the overall departmental function. Prior to that, they served as Assistant Manager for CLP Resources for 3 years. In this role, they provided administrative support to the office manager, including handling payroll and benefits administration.

Scott began their career as a Merchant Teller for Wells Fargo, where they were responsible for providing customer service and handling cash transactions. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Scott McWherter holds a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College, an Associate of Arts from Allan Hancock College, and has completed coursework at Fresno City College and Westmont College. Scott is also a Facilities Management Professional through the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).
