Olha Sorokivska

Olha Sorokivska has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Olha began their career as an Administrative Assistant at Lviv City Council, where they played a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating the soccer championship Euro 2012. Olha then interned at MP Bonnie Crombie's Office at the Parliament of Canada.

Building on their administrative skills, Olha transitioned into the field of Human Resources. Olha worked as a Human Resources Assistant at Nestlé and later joined State Street as an HR Coordinator, providing support in areas such as training, benefits, and recruitment initiatives.

Olha continued to grow in their HR career at Mercatus Technologies Inc., a company that builds web and mobile applications for North American grocery retailers. Olha started as an HR Coordinator and was quickly promoted to become a People Manager and eventually an HR Business Partner. In this role, they supported Mercatus' People Strategy during a period of rapid growth and doubling in size.

To further enhance their HR knowledge and skills, Olha participated in various professional development programs. Olha was a member of the GROWx (Cohort III) by Hacking HR, a global community that supports and develops the next generation of HR leaders. Olha also joined the Charlie Cohort of the Redefining HR Accelerator at Amplify Academy, which featured modern HR topics taught by renowned instructors.

Most recently, Olha has been working as the Director of People at Daylight, a process experience platform that enables teams to create digital solutions. In this role, they utilize their expertise in employment law, talent management, HR metrics, and organizational development to contribute to the company's success.

Olha Sorokivska completed their undergraduate education from 2004 to 2009 at Lviv Polytechnic National University, where they earned a Specialist degree from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Later, from 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in International Business Management through the Posgraduate Program at Seneca College. Prior to that, Olha had enrolled in the Human Resources Management Postgraduate Program at Seneca College, without completing a specific degree. Currently, they are planning to attend Amplify Academy in 2022, though the field of study and degree name have not been specified.
