Omar Roushdy

Omar Roushdy has a varied work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Omar is currently serving as the Head of Product at Dayra, a Y Combinator-backed startup. Prior to this, they worked at Freshworks as the Strategic Partnerships Manager for the EU&UK App Marketplace from 2019 to 2020. In 2018, they were the Head of Tech at SWATX. Omar also has experience working at Microsoft as a Technology Solution Specialist in Cloud Productivity, Communication, and Security from 2016 to 2017. Before that, they held positions at Dell EMC, where they worked as a System Engineer in EMEA Presales Shared Services from 2013 to 2016, and as a Presales Technology Consultant from 2011 to 2013. Omar'scareer started at TESI Automazione S.r.l. as a Software Engineer, where they developed software for IT training and certification using PHP.

Omar Roushdy completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The German University in Cairo, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Omar then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin, which they completed between 2017 and 2020. In addition to their formal education, Omar has obtained several certifications including High Impact Presentations and Time Management from Dale Carnegie, as well as certifications in Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, MTA: Networking Fundamentals, Symmetrix Sizing Specialist, and VNX Specialist (Unified Storage) from Dell EMC and Microsoft.
