Javier Frutos-Bonilla

Javier Frutos-Bonilla is a seasoned audio engineering professional with extensive experience in application engineering and system design. Currently serving as Head of Application Engineering at d&b audiotechnik since February 2018, Javier has progressed through roles as a Senior Application Engineer and Junior System Designer & Trainer. Prior to this, Javier worked at Fraunhofer IDMT from March 2013 to January 2018 as a 3D Audio System Engineer, focusing on the analysis, design, prototyping, and installation of 3D audio systems. Javier's career began with a role as an Audio Developer at Fraunhofer IIS, where C/C++ signal processing algorithms were developed to address packet losses in audio transmissions. Javier also spent time as a self-employed tennis trainer from 2006 to 2009. Academically, Javier holds a Master of Science in Media Technology from Technische Universität Ilmenau and a degree in Technical Telecommunications Engineering with a focus on Sound and Image from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
