Debra Freitas

Debra Freitas is Chief Commercial Officer for the DC BLOX Fiber business, responsible for driving network route planning, pricing and packaging, marketing, and customer and government relations for the company’s dark fiber projects.

Ms. Freitas joined DC BLOX as part of the company’s acquisition of the Southeastern fiber assets from Light Source Communications and Ascendant Capital Fiber. Previously, Debra co-founded Light Source Communications, serving as the company’s CEO, and held a leadership position at Merit Networks. She has led the operations and management of over 2,300 miles of high-speed fiber networks to address the needs of hyperscalers, OTT providers, enterprises, and both medium and large-size businesses that want to own their dark fiber networks.

Debra is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and currently lives in Michigan with her husband and their three daughters. They love to travel, watch football and are foodies and if they can combine all three, it’s a perfect day!
