Durell Coleman has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of social impact strategy, design consultancy, and education. Durell is the Founder and CEO of DC Design LTD, a consultancy that uses Human-Centered Design to develop long-lasting solutions for social problems. Durell has also worked as a Lecturer in Management at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on social entrepreneurship and coaching business school students. Additionally, Durell has created and directed Design the Future, a program that teaches high school students to design products for people with disabilities. Durell has also worked as a facilitator of Design Thinking & Leadership at Stanford University and as a teacher of Design & Innovation at UWC ISAK Japan. Durell has experience as a fellow at StartX and as a design coach at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford. Durell has conducted research and designed solutions for various countries, including Indonesia, Brazil, and Nicaragua.
Durell Coleman completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Sustainable Design from Stanford University during the academic year 2010-2011.
