Stephanie Williams

Stephanie Williams is a Children's Librarian at the DC Public Library since March 2023. Previously, Stephanie served as a Cataloging Intern at the International Center for MultiGenerational Legacies of Trauma, where responsibilities included identifying metadata elements and logging them into digital repositories. As Remote Metadata Intern Team Lead at the Law Library of Congress, Stephanie led a team on a significant metadata project for Congress.gov, following earlier work extracting bill and resolution information from historical records. Prior experience includes management roles at Starbucks and Barnes & Noble, Inc., where Stephanie developed strong customer service practices and trained staff. Stephanie holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation and Conservation from the University of Mary Washington.
