Patrice Amandla Sulton

Founder And Executive Director at DC Justice Lab

Patrice Amandla Sulton has a diverse work experience. In 2009, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Sheila A. Venable, Presiding Criminal Judge at the Superior Court of New Jersey. Following this, in 2010, they became an Attorney at The Sulton Law Firm. From 2015 to 2017, they held the position of Clinical Law Professor and Supervising Attorney at Law Students in Court. In 2015, they also joined The George Washington University Law School as a Professorial Lecturer in Law. In 2018, they became a Senior Attorney Advisor for the DC Criminal Code Reform Commission until 2020. In 2020, they founded and became the Executive Director at DC Justice Lab. Additionally, they worked as a Fellow at Echoing Green starting from April 2022. Finally, in October 2022, they began their role as a Board Member at the Network for Victim Recovery of DC (NVRDC).
