Lynsey Scott has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Lynsey began their career as a Resourcing Consultant at Marvecs UK in 2003 and stayed with the company until 2006. Lynsey then worked as an HR Consultant at Human Capital Services Ltd from 2006 to 2009.

In 2009, Scott joined DC Thomson as the Head of Reward and held this position until 2016. During their time at DC Thomson, they also worked at Aegon as an Interim Reward Consultant from May 2016 to September 2016.

In 2016, Scott joined Insights as a Global Reward Manager and stayed with the company until April 2017.

Lynsey then returned to DC Thomson and served in various roles including Head of Central HR from April 2017 to March 2019, Head of People and Talent from March 2019 to October 2021, and currently holds the position of Chief People Officer starting from October 2021.

Lynsey Scott began their education at Lenzie Academy, where they completed their high school education from 1990 to 1996. Lynsey then attended the University of Strathclyde from 1996 to 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Immunology (BSc Hons). After that, they pursued a postgraduate diploma in Information Management at the University of Strathclyde, which they obtained in 2000. Later on, in 2003, they attended Glasgow Caledonian University and completed a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management and Services. Additionally, Lynsey Scott has a certification in Management Coaching Practice from the Chartered Management Institute, although the details of the certification's completion are not provided.
