Sam Miller

Sam Miller has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sam started their career as an Art Teacher at Dollar Academy in 1994. Sam then worked as a Graphic Designer at AR Design, where they were responsible for designing promotional materials. In 1995, they joined Simpson Label Company as a Client Services Executive and later became an Origination Barco Operator. In 1997, Sam joined Tayburn as a Tayburn Brands Technical Artworker, working closely with clients on artwork and reprographics. Sam then became a Tayburn New Media Project Manager, overseeing digital projects. In 2002, they joined Tayburn again as a Tayburn Brands Account Manager, managing client portfolios and new product developments. Sam joined CIVIC in 2005, first as a Senior Account Manager, then as Head of Client Services, and later as Client Services Director. In 2017, they joined Royal Tay Yacht Club as an Executive Director, overseeing marketing and communications. Their most recent role is at DC Thomson, where they have held various positions since 2010, including Senior Digital Project Manager, Senior Strategy & Planning Executive, and their current role as Head of Strategy & Delivery, Product & Technology. In their current role, Sam is responsible for providing strategic information and operational support to the COO and executing corporate strategic initiatives.

Sam Miller attended Dollar Academy from 1985 to 1990. After completing high school, from 1990 to 1991, they attended the Cumbria Institute of the Arts for a Foundation degree in Arts. Sam then pursued further education at the University of Dundee from 1991 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Design with Honors (BDes Hons) in Graphic Design.
