Anupam Das is a graduate student at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Bern since April 2023, currently pursuing a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Previously, Anupam held positions as a Pre Doctoral Fellow at the University of Lausanne, where work focused on ribosome pausing during translation elongation in eukaryotic cells, and at the University of Zurich, concentrating on alternative translation mechanisms in tumorigenesis. Anupam also had an earlier role at the University of Bern investigating Non-sense mediated mRNA decay mechanisms. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior Research Fellow in Molecular and Systems Neuroscience at the National Brain Research Centre and studying for a Master's in Biotechnology at Pondicherry University. Anupam completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Calcutta University.
