Dr. Andy Hafer

Dr. Andy Hafer's work experience begins in 1992 as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. Dr. Andy then worked at Yara, starting in 1993, as the CIO - Americas until 2000. From 2000 to 2002, they held the position of Director at Tribridge. In 2002, they became the CIO at PRIDE Enterprises until 2004. In the same year, they also founded Dynamic Communities and served as the Founder until 2018. In 2004, they were the CEO of Tampa Bay Technology Forum. Dr. Hafer co-founded Synapse in 2017 and became a Co-Founder at DCE Productions the same year. At DCE Productions, they served as a Co-Founder from 2013 until the present. In 2017, they joined the Village of Hope Haiti as the Executive Director, Treasurer and Director of the Board of Directors. Currently, Dr. Hafer is the Executive Director of the Muma College of Business Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Andy Hafer completed a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of South Florida from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance and Marketing, also from the University of South Florida, from 1988 to 1990. In 1995, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a Management Information Systems Executive Symposia program, specializing in ERP. Dr. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida, which they obtained from 1982 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Hafer has obtained several certifications. In November 2020, they completed the "Participating in Vaccine Research" program provided by the CITI Program, a division of BRANY. In July 2020, they received a "Post-Crisis Leadership Certificate" from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. In February 2021, they became certified in "Certified Mental Health First Aid" by the National Council for Behavioral Health. Also in November 2020, they obtained certifications in "Social / Behavioral Investigators and Key Personnel" and "Remote Contact Tracing" from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
