Shaun Kane

Shaun Kane, CISSP has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Shaun currently serves as the Director of Cybersecurity at DCI Solutions, where they lead the strategic cybersecurity practice and provides a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services to government agencies. Shaun also serves as the Program Manager for a multidisciplinary team on a large government project. Prior to this role, Shaun held the positions of Technical Director, Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, and Subject Matter Expert at DCI Solutions, where they managed various engineering teams and provided technical expertise in the field of cybersecurity. Before joining DCI Solutions, Shaun worked as an IT Specialist and Cybersecurity Lead at the US Army, leading cybersecurity activities for a defense acquisition portfolio. Shaun has also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, Storm CyberSecurity, LLC, Telesis, MCSG Technologies, Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Founders Financial Securities LLC, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. in various cybersecurity and IT roles. Throughout their career, Shaun has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in developing cybersecurity strategies, implementing security measures, and providing technical support.

Shaun Kane, CISSP, has a strong educational background in cybersecurity and psychology. Shaun attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009 to 2012, where they studied cybersecurity. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1998, they studied psychology at the University of Maryland.

In addition to their formal education, Shaun has obtained several notable certifications. In 2012, they became a Certified Ethical Hacker v7 through EC-Council. Following this, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification in April 2013 and the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner certification in September 2013, both from CompTIA. Their most recent certification, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), was obtained in May 2015 through (ISC)².
