Join our telemarketing firm, DCM Inc., in launching the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-2025 Fundraising Campaign.

DCM Inc. is a leading telemarketing firm, raising millions for arts organizations since the mid-1990s. We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our call team and help our prestigious clients continue to thrive. DCM is looking for theatrical personalities with a passion for the performing arts. We're looking for salespeople; we're looking for fundraisers. This is an opportunity to do something that really serves a purpose. Our outreach directly supports the Boston Symphony Orchestra's highest standard of artistic excellence, as well as their transformative education and outreach programs -- and we're looking to hire those who have the passion and conviction required for success.

We are currently recruiting remote/work from home Fundraising Representatives for The Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Job Profile:

  • Calling past donors/subscribers/patrons of the symphony to secure donations
  • Mandatory paid training: Mon 1/6 AND Tues 1/7 both days 4-8pm EST
  • Part-Time: minimum of 16 hours per week required (4 full shifts) – must be available for Friday shifts on occasion
  • Shift schedule: Mon-Thurs 5-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am-3pm EST
  • No cold calling -- all leads are made up of prior/lapsed donors/subscribers/patrons
  • Fully remote/WFH -- all calling is done virtually through your laptop/computer
  • Receiving comprehensive feedback/coaching from your Manager is to be expected; calls are monitored for quality assurance and productivity
  • You will be an employee of DCM Inc., a boutique arts telemarketing and telefundraising firm working on behalf of BSO

Requirements:

  • MUST be knowledgeable and passionate about classical music and the performing arts!!

  • a successful sales and/or fundraising background, with the ability to consistently close "sales" and raise money

  • must have a computer or laptop (with the most recent version of Google Chrome), and a headset or headphones, with excellent internet connection!

  • an ability to follow directions and read from a script

  • computer savvy, with proficiency on multiple softwares/platforms; you must also be able to solve/troubleshoot any potential equipment or internet connectivity issues on the fly!

  • persistent, diligent work ethic; self-motivated while being a team player

  • high quality customer service attitude

  • MUST be located in MA, CT, NY, or NJ to be eligible for this opportunity (preference for those located directly in Boston)

Compensation:

  • $14.50/hr base rate plus commission based on revenue generated weekly (guaranteed local minimum wage)

  • Potential bonuses based on performance

  • Top Performers usually make between $20-$25+ per hour every week (including commission and bonuses)
