Cathy Roberts has extensive experience in disaster recovery and public assistance, currently serving as a Public Assistance Coordinator at DCMC Partners since July 2018, where assistance is provided to applicants recovering from disasters through the FEMA delivery system. Previously, Cathy worked at Witt O'Brien's from March 2012 to August 2019 as a Public Assistance Coordinator and Disaster Recovery Consultant, focusing on the closeout of FEMA public assistance grants for a major medical facility. From March 2006 to October 2011, Cathy was a Closeout Specialist at the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, managing disaster grants post-Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Earlier in Cathy’s career, a role as Administrative Services Manager at the Louisiana State Penitentiary involved supervising the Mail and Package Department. Educational credentials include an Associate's degree in Accounting from Spencer Draughon Business College and a certification as a Certified Corrections Manager from the American Correctional Association, complemented by various FEMA training courses.
