Richard Lawson

Richard Lawson has extensive financial experience, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at De Beers Group since May 2017, where additional roles have included Director of Group Finance and Group Financial Controller. Prior to this, Richard held notable positions at Anglo American from January 2013 to May 2017, including Head of Finance and Business Performance and Financial Controller for Thermal Coal. Richard’s earlier career at PwC lasted from 1996 to January 2013, culminating in the role of Director. Richard Lawson holds a degree in Biology from the University of Nottingham, completed between 1993 and 1996.
