Rineke van Houten

Rineke van Houten is an experienced journalist with a diverse freelance portfolio, currently collaborating with NRC Handelsblad, De Correspondent, and Vrij Nederland since 2018, 2014, and 2010, respectively. In addition, Rineke has been a food journalist for De Laatste Paling since 2010 and has produced a magazine for blood donors at Sanquin since 2006. Rineke's freelance career began in 1985, encompassing roles at various publications, including VNG Magazine and De Journalist. Rineke holds a degree from the School voor de Journalistiek in Utrecht (1978-1981) and has pursued further education, including investigative journalism workshops and courses in Spanish and literary non-fiction.
