Sterre Sprengers

Sterre Sprengers is an experienced Frontend Developer and creative leader currently working at De Correspondent since July 2013, where roles also include Creative Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Image Editor in Chief. With a strong background in photography, Sterre has been a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague since March 2009 and has held various influential positions in photography-related organizations, including co-hosting FOTODOK Book Club and De Donkere Kamer, and serving on the supervisory board of the World Press Photo Foundation. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Documentary Photography from the Royal Academy of Art and a degree in Front-end Development from Winc Academy, alongside studies at HKU in Photography. Sterre’s commitment to excellence in photography has also been reflected through jury chair roles for multiple prestigious awards.
