David Celano is an experienced sales leader with a strong background in the academic and corporate library sectors. Currently serving as the Global Director of Sales Development and Vice President at De Gruyter, David oversees all sales activities across the Americas, leading a team of eight Sales Managers. Prior to this role, David held various leadership positions at Springer Nature, including Vice President of Library Sales for the US and Canada, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of North American academic, government, and corporate library sales. David's earlier career includes roles at Blackwell Publishing, CABI, and TRA-CON, showcasing a progressive trajectory in sales management and corporate chemical sales. David holds an MBA in Finance from Bentley University and a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
