David Criekemans

David Criekemans is an Associate Professor in International Relations and a specialist in Geopolitics at Universiteit Antwerpen since September 2008. Criekemans has also served as an Assistant Professor in the same field at the university. In addition, Criekemans holds the position of Book Series Editor for 'Geopolitics and International Relations' at Brill since January 2020 and has been a Visiting Professor in Global Politics and Diplomacy at KU Leuven since September 2019. Other roles include Visiting Professor in International Relations at Blanquerna - Universitat Ramon Llull since April 2015 and Assistant Professor in International Relations at University College Roosevelt since August 2012. Furthermore, Criekemans is a Senior Lecturer in Geopolitics at the Geneva Institute of Geopolitical Studies (GIGS) since July 2005. Criekemans holds a Doctorate in Political and Social Sciences from the University of Antwerp and an European Master of Public Administration from KU Leuven.
