Ulrike Engel

Ulrike Engel has extensive experience in publishing technology and platform development, currently serving as the Director of Platform Development and Product Owner for the delivery platform at De Gruyter Brill since January 2012. Previously, Ulrike held roles including Senior Manager and Team Manager for Publishing Technology and Applications at De Gruyter Online, where responsibilities included project management and cooperation with international partners. Prior experience includes Online Product Manager at K. G. Saur Verlag, focusing on the development of online databases and customer systems, and Solutions Consultant for Electronic Publications at K. G. Saur Verlag, providing technical support and developing electronic products. Ulrike began a career in information services at The British Council and Deutsches Bibliotheksinstitut, and holds a diploma in Library Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
