Derek Blaha

Derek Blaha has worked in a variety of roles across a number of companies. Derek began their career in 1993 as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. In 1995, they joined Covidien as a Senior Engineer, Project Manager, and Manager in R&D. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Engineering Department Manager and Project Manager at SGI. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Seagate Technology as an Engineering Manager in HW Engineering. In 2016, they joined Sphero as a Senior Manager of Hardware Program, where they were the primary driver of the development and execution of an alternate CM selection process. In 2019, they became the Senior Manager of Program Management at Spectralink Corporation. In 2021, they were Program Manager (Systems/Platform) at Woodward, Inc. and is currently the Senior Director of Platform Development and Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Liqid.

Derek Blaha began their educational journey in 1996 at the University of Colorado Denver, taking electrical engineering courses. In 2010, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Colorado State University Global. Additionally, they have obtained certifications and training in development.
